Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper is an extensive description of well-conducted research. I have no remarks apart from suggesting an English language check-up. Perhaps the key contributions section is a bit too long and requires to be minimized to basic elements of the research. I would say that the parts of the key contributions section ()the ones including results, could be transfered to abstract.

Otherwise, I have no further comments.

Author Response

Due to the limited time available to do this revision, we decided to ask to a native speaker who is employed in the company to read the article and we would thank him for that. The revision concerned only minor corrections (e.g.: minor grammatical errors, words in singular/plural, no correct verb forms, etc.) which were not noted in the text. Regarding the “key contribution” paragraph, we reduced it in agreement to reviewer’s suggestion. We thank this reviewer for time spent to read and correct our article and we appreciate her/his efforts in doing it.

Reviewer 2 Report

Studies to obtain data on incidence and concentration of different regulated as well as several emerging mycotoxins detected in corn silage to provide information for a comprehensive risk assessment in this largely used forage, are attractive because of their contribute to understand that some microbial groups as biomarkers may characterizing silage mycotoxin contamination. There is a high demand for such research results. The experimental design is good and the results are well presented.

Author Response
