This is a great review paper for local climate zones in urban environments within the context of Europe. It is well organized and written. I think it is acceptable for publication. I only have one minor comment: Fig 4 is quite blurred and a high-resolution image should be used.

This is a great review paper for local climate zones in urban environments within the context of Europe. It is well organized and written. I think it is acceptable for publication. I only have one minor comment: Fig 4 is quite blurred and a high-resolution image should be used.

Reply: The Figure 4 is improved and now is more visible and readable. A new situation is that A1/2 is part of Figure 4, and B1/2 and C1/2 are now presented as Supplementary - Figure S1. Also, adequate changes are made in the text, too.

I believe that the article is very good. I really enjoyed reading it and I believe it will be a review article that will be greatly appreciated by those interested in the subject. My only suggestion is to include in the map of Europe the geographical coordinates and the cartographic projection system.
