Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

this article is very nice and easy to read.

I found several criticisms::

abstract: the main result section is poor and missing

It is a narrative review? It is not clear.

The methodology and the search of the keywords is not unclear.

Thank you so much for the careful and insightful comments. The reviewer has raised important issues, that are necessary to be handled. We believe that certain parts of the manuscript have considerably improved based on these comments such as the abstract. Authors’ responses come underneath following the comments in red. When relevant, the location of the modification in the text is reported for the reviewer’s reference.

Yes, we agree with the reviewer. Thank you very much. We have restructured the abstract reporting on the mechanisms and treatments of sarcopenia as well as its associated outcome within the context of COVID-19 infection (line 21-35).

It is a narrative review? It is not clear.

Because not many people are working on this review, it was not possible to have it as a systematic review. So, yes, it is a narrative review. We have noted that in the abstract (line 19) and in other locations in the text (line 80).

The methodology and the search of the keywords is not unclear.

That part was missing, thank you very much. Yes, we have described the search strategy used (line 79-85).

In final, we thank Reviewer 1 for the time, effort, and help provided. We hope that the comments were properly handled and that the revised version will be suitable for publication.
