Obituary—Prof. Dr. Jean Cleymans
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Physics Editorial Board Member Prof. Dr. Jean Cleymans. Prof. Cleymans was the Director of the UCT-CERN Research Centre at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, and an active contributor in high-energy physics, specifically in the phenomenology of ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions. The Physics journal was very proud to have Prof. Cleymans on the Editorial Board.
The international high-energy physics community remembers him as an eminent physicist, and his friends mourn his death as the loss of a great and generous man. We will remember him as an example of a gentle and special man in our hearts.
