10th Anniversary of Animals

The year 2021 marks the 10th anniversary of Animals, a peer-reviewed open access journal devoted entirely to animals. Animals has published more than 7000 papers. We are grateful to every author, reviewer, and academic editor whose support has helped us to get to where we are today. To celebrate this 10th anniversary, we are arranging special content and events. We hope you can join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal and enjoy the collection below.

Animals changes to a monthly publication schedule.

Animals is accepted for indexing in Science Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science), from Vol. 5 (2015).

Animals starts the Travel Awards project.

Animals receives its first Impact Factor of 1.654.

Animals launches the Young Investigator Award project.

Section "Animal in Society and Policy" is renamed to "Public Policy, Politics and Law Section".

Journal publishes its 1000th paper.
