Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In recent years, many articles have focused on the role of glia in oxidative stress. In many diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), as well as neurodevelopmental diseases such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and autism, the glial cells produce changes in functionality and physiology. The functions that astrocytes play in these diseases are gaining great interest. On the other hand, the control that these cells exert on neurons, oligodendroglia, and microglia could be a topic to be addressed.

Therefore, this chapter aims to include articles on the role of glia in oxidative stress, as well as the use of antioxidants to try to alleviate the problem.

We invite you to submit your latest research findings or a review article to this Special Issue, which will bring together current research on oxidative stress and glia in the nervous system.

We welcome presentations on oxidative stress and glia function. We believe that this Special Issue, "Oxidative Stress and Glia," will help to highlight the latest advances in all aspects of neurodegeneration and neurodevelopment.

We look forward to your contributions.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
