Novel Approaches for Sewage Treatment

Dear Colleagues,

For centuries, water has been used and wasted without restraint. Industry, agriculture, and human life consume huge amounts of water. At present, thousands of tons of industrial and domestic sewage are released in environment. The complexity of sewage presents an enormous challenge for remediation, with the increasing loading of priority pollutants emerging from a variety of waste streams. It is important and necessary to develop efficient and safe wastewater treatment technologies, such as photocatalytic oxidation and reduction technology. We invite papers to this Special Issue of Applied Science pertaining to the following: research on advanced methods of sewage treatment, methods to meet the complexity of emerging wastewater contaminants.
