2018	Biomimetics announced the first edition of the Travel award.
2019	Biomimetics was indexed in PubMed - NLM. Biomimetics added 11 new Editorial Board Members.
2020	Biomimetics was indexed in Scopus - Elsevier.
2021	Biomimetics was indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) - Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).
2022	Biomimetics received its first Impact Factor (3.743). Biomimetics received its CiteScore (2021) of 5.2. Biomimetics established the following sections: Biomimetic Processing and Molecular Biomimetics; Biomimetics of Materials and Structures; Biomimetic Design, Constructions and Devices; Biomimetic Surfaces and Interfaces; Bioinspired Architecture and Climatisation; Locomotion and Bioinspired Robotics; Bioinspired Sensorics, Information Processing and Control; Biological Optimisation and Management; Energy Biomimetics; Development of Biomimetic Methodology.
2023	Biomimetics adopted a monthly publication schedule.
