Biosensors | 2021 Career-Women Awards


Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that Biosensors is now welcoming nominations for the 2021 Biosensors Early-Career Women Awards. This prize will be awarded to three female investigators in recognition of their excellence in the field of biosensors. All nominations will be assessed by the Journal Award Committee, which will be led by the EiCs, and the winners will be announced on 30 January 2022.

Prizes:

  • One first prize of CHF 2000 (Swiss francs), and two second prizes of CHF 800;
  • The option to publish one paper free of charge for the first prize, and an 800 CHF discount for the two second prizes, in the journal in 2022, following peer review;
  • An engraved plaque.

Award terms and conditions:

  1. Nominees should be early-career researchers, with untenured positions, who are within 10 years of completing their PhD.
  2. Nominees must have produced ground-breaking research and made a significant contribution to the field of biosensors.
  3. Nominees can only apply for one award at a time. You cannot apply for the Biosensors 2021 Young Investigator Award simultaneously with this award.

List of documents for nomination:

  • Detailed curriculum vitae, including an updated publication list and a list of the researcher’s own research grants;
  • Scanned copy of doctorate or medical certificate;
  • Signed nomination letters from two established senior researchers.

Schedule:

  • Nominations open: 29 September 2021.
  • Nomination deadline: 31 December 2021.
  • Winner announcement: 30 January 2022.
