Supramolecular Chemistry

A section of Chemistry (ISSN 2624-8549).

Section Information

The ‘Supramolecular Chemistry’ section of the journal ’Chemistry’ will publish original research and review articles in the broad area of supramolecular chemistry, which can be considered the preparation, characterization, properties, and applications of any assemblies which are based on noncovalent interactions. This may encompass all traditional sub-areas of chemistry from biochemical systems (for example, protein/ligand interactions) to physical chemistry (for example, structural studies of adsorbed gas molecules in metal–organic frameworks). It may include but is not limited to self-assembly, host–guest chemistry, molecular recognition, systems chemistry, physical organic chemistry, crystal engineering, and aspects of materials chemistry—the main criterion is that noncovalent interactions must be an important feature of the work.
