The 1st International Electronic Conference on Land: Towards Land System Science
We are pleased to launch the 1st International Electronic Conference on Land: Towards Land System Science, which will be chaired by the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Christine Fürst.
This meeting aims to bring together the LAND community in its widest sense to discuss these latest advances, with sessions on land system science advances and their societal relevance chaired by leading researchers from across the globe. There will be seven sessions on specific topics:

SESSION B. Soil-Sediment-Water Systems;
SESSION C. Land Socio-Economic and Political Issues;
SESSION D. Land–Climate Interactions;
SESSION E. Land Planning and Architecture;
SESSION F. Women in Land Science;
SESSION G. Landscapes and Societal Challenges;
SESSION H. Renewable Energy and Land Use;
SESSION I. Ecosystem Services Science for Applications in Planning and Decision Making;
SESSION J. Landscapes Disturbance in Global South.
The 1st International Electronic Conference on Land: Towards Land System Science will be sponsored by MDPI and the scientific journal Land (ISSN 2073-445X, IF 3.398). Papers extended from the abstracts accepted at the conference will receive a 20% discount on the Article Processing Charge upon submission to Land. The conference Special Issue: "Selected Papers from the 1st international Electronic Conference on Land (ICEL2022)" will be open for submissions until 30 August 2022.
