Colloids and Interfaces 2025 Travel Award
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that Colloids and Interfaces will be granting the 2025 Travel Award to one junior scientist. Applications will be assessed by an Evaluation Committee consisting of senior scholars from the Colloids and Interfaces Editorial Board.
This award provides financial support for the winner to attend an international conference in the field of colloids and interfaces to be held in 2025 in order to hold a presentation, present a poster, or both.
Candidate Requirements:
– Postdoctoral fellows or PhD students.
– Plans to attend an international conference in 2025 (oral presentation or poster).
Required Application Documents:
– Information about the conference the applicant is planning to attend and the abstract that will be submitted.
– Curriculum vitae and list of publications.
– Justification letter describing the focus of the research (max. 800 words).
– Letter of recommendation from the supervisor, research director, or department head, which also confirms the applicant’s status as a postdoctoral fellow/PhD student.
The winner will be awarded CHF 800 and a certificate.
Please submit your applications for the Colloids and Interfaces 2025 Travel Award online by 31 October 2024. Prizes will be awarded at the end of December 2024 and announced on the Colloids and Interfaces website.

Colloids and Interfaces 2020 Travel Award
Dear Colleagues,
As Editor-in-Chief of Colloids and Interfaces, I am pleased to announce the two winners of the 2020 Travel Awards sponsored by Colloids and Interfaces.
The awards were granted to Dr. Malinda Salim, research fellow of the Drug Delivery Disposition and Dynamics, Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Australia; and Dr. Zhe Chen, postdoctoral researcher of Pennsylvania State University. The award recipients will receive 500 Swiss Francs each to support attendance at any academic conference in 2020.
The research interests of the awardees are presented below:
– Dr. Malinda Salim: Milk, lipids, colloids, digestion, oral drug delivery, poorly water-soluble.
– Dr. Zhe Chen: Tribology, surface science, 2D materials, and lubricants.
I would like to congratulate the winners and thank the members of the committee for their excellent work in selecting the winners from such a large number of excellent candidate profiles.
