Current Oncology was indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).
2011 Current Oncology received its first Impact Factor of 1.820.
2018 Current Oncology was indexed in MEDLINE—National Library of Medicine.
2020 Current Oncology received an updated Journal Impact Factor of 2.257.
Current Oncology was published by MDPI from Volume 28, Issue 1 (2021).
The Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology (CAPO) became affiliated to Current Oncology.

2022 Current Oncology established the following sections:

Current Oncology adopted a monthly publication schedule.
