Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Diagnosing the causes of pain is crucial for its treatment, and understanding the mechanism by which pain occurs helps in the development of new methods for pain management. It is essential to use various imaging techniques for pain diagnosis and pain-related research. Imaging technology has significantly advanced over the last few decades. Advances in imaging technology have made more precise diagnoses of the causes of pain possible and helped improve the therapeutic outcomes of pain by providing appropriate treatments based on precise diagnoses. In addition, advances in imaging technology have deepened our understanding of the mechanisms involved in the development of pain. In this Special Issue, “Advances in Pain Imaging”, we will discuss how pain imaging technology has advanced, how it is being used in the clinical field, and how it is being applied to research. I hope that this Special Issue will provide useful information on pain imaging to various clinicians and researchers and create a platform for further discussions.
