Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Since the discovery of noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs), several researchers have focused on the understanding of these molecules and their implication in colorectal cancer (CCR) tumorigenesis and progression. Their role as prognostic factors has been extensively demonstrated, especially for microRNAs, the best studied group. However, other ncRNAs have been understudied. The finding of prognostic ncRNAs that let us stratify CCR patients in different risk groups could be crucial for choosing successful treatment strategies in these patients. In this sense, the advancement in NGS techniques has increased our knowledge of the ncRNA family, enhancing the findings of new promising prognostic biomarkers in tumor, and recently also in liquid biopsy. This Special Issue will focus on the prognostic impact of ncRNAs in CCR, in both tumor and liquid biopsies. Primary research or review articles are welcome, as well as in silico analysis from TGCA data.
