The Geosciences Editorial Board and Team would like to acknowledge the time and energy given by reviewers in checking manuscripts submitted to the journal. It is thanks to their efforts that the high quality of the journal and quick submission to publication process are maintained. In 2020, the median time to first decision was 15.5 days and the median time to publication was 43 days.

The Editor-in-Chief of Geosciences, Prof. Dr. Jesus Martinez-Frias, has selected one awardee, Dr. Luke A. McGuire, to receive the “Geosciences 2020 Outstanding Reviewer Award” for the quantity, timeliness, and quality of his reviews in 2020. He will receive 500 CHF and a certificate for his outstanding review work:

Geosciences (ISSN 2076-3263) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal of geoscience, future Earth, and planetary science, published monthly online by MDPI, Switzerland. It has been covered by some important databases such as the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), Scopus (CiteScore 2.1, Elsevier), GeoRef (American Geosciences Institute), AGORA (FAO), CAS—Chemical Abstracts (ACS), and DOAJ—Directory of Open Access Journals.
