Materials and Heritage

A section of Heritage (ISSN 2571-9408).

Section Information

This section shows the different aspects which relate to the dual relationships between materials and tangible cultural heritage.
It covers either the use and development of materials for the conservation of cultural heritage or all the theoretical and practical issues related to the components of cultural heritage objects, from their identification to the study of their ageing and protection, through the prediction of their long-term behavior.
Either methodological, theoretical, physicochemical, biological, or material science studies, also in the form of case studies, are welcomed in this “materials in/for cultural heritage section”.
