Section Information
The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes articles and communications in the interdisciplinary area of environmental health sciences and public health. The subsection of Occupational Safety and Health will focus on safety and health in workplaces from a global perspective.
In-depth, original articles and systematic reviews concerning occupational medicine that are up-to-date with new medical developments in the prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of work-related injuries and illnesses are welcome. Additionally, this section will consider toxicological investigations both in in vitro and in vivo models, focused on defining early effects and modes of action, also through innovative analytical techniques, of workplace xenobiotics, including chemicals at the nanoscale. A further topic covered in this section will be the assessment of risks in occupational settings, and the definition of strategies for risk management in order to prevent workplace-related disease, and to promote healthier workplace settings. Overall, this section aims to be a useful source for innovative perspectives, practices, and policies focused on the promotion of well-being in the workplace.
