Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Esophageal cancer (EC) is a lethal malignancy with poor prognosis and significant variations in the incidence, mortality, and histopathology based on geographic regions. Thousands of people around the world suffer from esophageal cancer every year. Currently, newer modalities such as endoscopic submucosal dissection, endoscopic mucosal resection, and radiofrequency ablation have enabled minimal invasive management of early esophageal cancer. In addition, multidisciplinary approaches, including neo-adjuvant chemo and radiotherapy, have improved the success rate of treatment for advanced esophageal cancer.

The goal of this Special Issue on “Treatment and Healthcare of Esophageal Cancer” is to publish the latest research on the treatment and healthcare for patients with esophageal cancer. Empirical research studies, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and innovative theory papers are welcomed. The keywords listed below provide areas of interest.
