Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Every day, around the world, people complete multitudes of different activities for innumerable reasons.

These activities and the reasons behind them—ranging from being forced to do them to conducting them out of joy —may support or disrupt both individual health and the health of others, locally and globally. Moreover, everyday human activities have implications for the environment. In turn, the environment affects people’s lives and activities.

Taken together, current global activity patterns may result in several negative health consequences—including stress, malnutrition/obesity, loneliness, and inequality, as just a few examples of causes and consequences.

Scientific papers of various designs and methods, addressing these or other topics on activities and health and their relationships, from all around the world and ranging from the individual to the environmental level, are invited for this Special Issue. We especially welcome contributions focused on addressing/improving aspects of sustainable development, as well as those with a perspective on the relationship between activity and health beyond the individuals.
