Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, we are organizing a Special Issue about Dietary Quality, Lifestyle and Overweight. The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes manuscripts in the interdisciplinary area of environmental health sciences and public health.

Overweight and obesity decrease quality of life, and they also increase the risk of developing chronic diseases. Unfortunately, weight excess is currently a worldwide epidemic. Several strategies have been proposed to treat weight excess; however, to date, the first strategy for weight management consists in following healthy lifestyles, which mainly but not exclusively consist of a healthy diet and physical activity. These healthy lifestyles are not only a valid strategy to manage overweight or obesity but may also help to handle chronic conditions associated to overweight or obesity. Papers addressing these topics are invited for this Special Issue.
