Dear Colleagues,
As Editor-in-Chief of Instruments, I am pleased to announce the winner of the Instruments 2021 Travel Award.
The award has been granted to Ms. Adriana Dias, a PhD student at University of London. Ms. Dias’s research explores the use of novel CMOS devices to assay lead in drinking water; her work is part of the PlomBox project, which aims to develop easy-to-use devices to measure the lead concentration of drinking water. She is planning to present her works “Plombox—Development of a Low-Cost CMOS Device for Environmental Monitoring” at the CEST 2021—International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (1–4 September 2021, Athens, Greece). The award consists of 600 Swiss francs, which will be used to attend this conference.
