22 July 2022 Webinar on Clinical Medicine | New Horizons in Treating Liver Diseases in the COVID Era

Online

The Coronavirus-19 related diseases (COVID-19), since March 2020, has spread worldwide, and has rapidly become a public health matter with several unmet issues. The global impact of COVID-19 is still perceptible both on the economic side and on that of health systems. The sudden and unexpected COVID-19 pandemic has forced all health systems to rethink the allocation of their health resources. In the acute phase of the pandemic, a large part of the resources was devoted to treating COVID-19 patients, reducing the possibility of treating many other acute and chronic diseases. Thus, during these two years, some sectors of medicine have inevitably suffered particularly from the scarcity of resources destined for them. The purpose of this webinar is to highlight how the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the surgical treatment of some liver diseases and how it has impacted in liver transplanted patients and in the organ procurement systems for liver transplantation.

The following experts will be present and talk:

  • Prof. Dr. Pierluigi Toniutto, Hepatology and Liver Transplantation Unit, Academic Hospital, University of Udine, Italy
  • Dr. Ioannis Konstantinidis, Surgery, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, El Paso, TX, USA
  • Dr. Yuman Fong, Department of Surgery, City of Hope Medical Center, Duarte, CA, USA
  • Dr. Maria Guarino, Department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit, University of Naples “Federico II”, Naples, Italy
  • Prof. Dr. Patrizia Burra, Multivisceral Transplant Unit-Gastroenterology, Department of Surgery, Oncology and Gastroenterology, University Hospital of Padua, Padova, Italy

1–15 October 2022 The 3rd International Electronic Conference on Brain Sciences (IECBS2022)

Online

It is a pleasure to announce the 3rd International Electronic Conference on Brain Sciences (IECBS2022)—Exploring New Discoveries and New Directions in Neuroscience. The conference has been organized by the MDPI open-access journal Brain Sciences (Impact Factor 3.394) and will be held online from 1 to 15 October 2022.

The conference will provide an opportunity to share new ideas, technologies, and innovations in the broad area of neuroscience with the global community of scientists in this field of brain sciences.

The field of neuroscience is one of the most important frontiers in biomedical studies, as many of the details that control brain function are still not well understood. This makes the study of the nervous system very exciting and fast moving.

Therefore, we invite you to join us with your work and be part of this exciting experience.

The topics of the conference include:

  1. Behavioral neuroscience;
  2. Molecular and cellular neuroscience;
  3. Developmental neuroscience;
  4. Neuropsychology;
  5. Systems neuroscience;
  6. Sensory and motor neuroscience;
  7. Computational neuroscience and neuroinformatics;
  8. Neurorehabilitation;
  9. Neurotechnology and neuroimaging.

For the IECBS2022, participation and attendance are FREE of charge. Hopefully, this means it will be an inclusive and sustainable conference due to the lack of taxes, travel costs, or other related expenditures. All you need is a computer and access to the Internet. This online event will bring together researchers from all over the world.

We warmly invite our colleagues from across the world to actively take part in this important and inspiring event by presenting their latest work.

Event Awards

To acknowledge the support of the conference’s esteemed authors and recognize their outstanding scientific accomplishments, we are pleased to launch the Best Paper Award, Best Poster Award, and Best Speaker Award.

The winners will receive the following:

300 CHF (Swiss Francs);
A certificate;
The opportunity to publish a paper in Brain Sciences with a voucher of 1000 CHF before 1 June 2023.

17–20 July 2022 15th International Neurotrauma Symposium

Berlin, Germany

The Symposium of the International Neurotrauma Society is a truly international meeting of minds at the forefront of research in brain and spinal cord injury, showcasing equally the basic and clinical sciences in a model of what the best translational research can be, from concussion to craniectomy, edema to electrocorticography, imaging to inflammation, metabolomics to microdialysis, and everything else in between. The aim is to reflect a perfect balance of plenary lectures given by invited leaders across the wide expanse of the field, papers disseminating the latest cutting-edge research, seminars on global initiatives, and platforms for young investigators in neurotrauma science in the meeting program.

This would be the second time the meeting is held in Germany and there is no better place for this to happen than in Berlin, well known as one of the most exciting and vibrant cities not only in Europe but also in the world. Berlin’s advantages as a conference venue include, in particular, the city’s scientific landscape.
