Section Information

Emergency Medicine is new specialty showing a dynamic growth in clinical and research perspectives. Emergency Medicine is not only triage, work-up, and disposition, but ranges from risk-stratification to emerging new diseases, and it has already diversified into different clusters: general emergency medicine, out-of-hospital emergency medical services, pediatric emergency medicine, geriatric emergency medicine, injury and disease prevention, health policy and ethics, disaster management, toxicology, and emergency department administration. Articles in adjacent fields of acute care, such as intensive care, intermediate care, stroke care, health service research, and implementation research are also welcome. We welcome submissions from international contributors and researchers of all specialties. It is our goal to improve the quality of care by publishing high-quality research for emergency medicine and related specialties by publishing original research, opinions, and educational information related to the practice, teaching, and research of emergency medicine.
