Dermatology

A section of Medicina (ISSN 1648-9144).

Section Information

This section has a focus on dermatology, sexually transmitted diseases, and wound care. A better understanding of the physiopathology of this heterogeneous group of diseases is the basis for novel treatments and more targeted treatment strategies. However, despite noticeable progress, dermatology is still a medical area with many ongoing challenges. The Section Dermatology aims to publish the latest insights in the mechanisms of pathological skin conditions, new biomarkers, clinical epidemiology, and new therapeutic approaches of dermatological diseases.  Basic research as well as clinical research papers are welcomed. We accept all types of contributions: original research papers, reviews, clinical trials, case reports, and observations. Consensus guidelines in key and emerging areas of dermatology are also welcomed.
