Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Energy generation, conversion, and storage are emerging as a rapidly evolving multidisciplinary research field at the interface between chemistry, physics, materials science and engineering. In this context, organic/hybrid photovoltaics and thermoelectrics are becoming two of the most promising electrical energy generating technologies based on the unique optical, electronic, and electrical properties of π-conjugated materials ranging from small molecules to polymers. The wide activity of researchers in these two fields lies in the fact that huge potential is accompanied by endless molecular conception. Over the past few years, important achievements have been witnessed in the fields of organic/hybrid photovoltaics and thermoelectrics.

We are delighted to invite colleagues to contribute to this Special Issue of “Organic and Hybrid Materials for Electrical Energy Generation” based on the aforementioned concept. Keywords include organic photovoltaics, hybrid photovoltaics, perovskite solar cells, dye-sensitized solar cells, organic thermoelectrics, hybrid thermoelectrics, and semiconductors, as well as conjugated molecules.

The goal of this Special Issue is to showcase the recent developments of this rapidly developing interdisciplinary research field. Full papers, communications, and reviews are all welcome.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
