Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Early interceptive orthodontics is an efficient approach which can reduce the severity of a developing malocclusion, the complexity of the overall orthodontic treatment, and at the same time can reduce time and costs of the therapy. Intercepting a malocclusion in the developing dentition can promote favorable developmental changes in craniofacial growth and reduce the need or the severity of orthognathic surgery. It could also have psychosocial benefits in terms of an improved dental and face appearance during early teenage years.
