Biogeosciences Remote Sensing

A section of Remote Sensing (ISSN 2072-4292).

Section Information

Aims

Section Biogeosciences Remote Sensing is one Section of Remote Sensing journal (ISSN 2072-4292) and is dedicated to the publication and discussion of research articles, letters, reviews, and communications on all aspects of remote sensing science and technologies that provide insights and address challenges in biogeosciences of the Earth system. Remote sensing is a key component to advance the monitoring, modelling, and understanding of land/ocean surface fluxes, biogeochemical cycling, as well as the underlying biological/physical attributes that regulate the interactions among land, ocean and atmosphere.

Scope

  • Vegetation dynamics and phenology (leaf–ecosystems);
  • Carbon cycle science, productivity and sequestration;
  • Biogeochemistry (soil–plant nutrient availability and fluxes);
  • Biogeophysics (energy, water states and fluxes, skin temperature);
  • Ecosystem structure, land cover, soils, and species composition;
  • Ecohydrologic interactions;
  • Multiscale spatial–temporal models including machine learning, data fusion, data assimilation and ecological forecasting.
