9th International workshop on FIBER OPTICS in ACCESS NETWORK (FOAN2021)
The 9th FOAN International Workshop on Fiber Optics in Access Network will be held on 25-27 October 2021 in a hybrid format. It is organized by the Brno University of Technology. The primary goal of FOAN 2021 is to bring together and present the latest research in the field of fiber optics technologies. The idea behind the workshop is to create opportunities to learn new things by gathering scientists and experts from academia, industry and operators in the field that will share their knowledge, experience, and ideas during the workshop.
The session is focused on, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Security and privacy in communication networks;
- Attacks on telecommunications and networking;
- Physical layer security;
- Security protocols;
- Network intrusion detection and prevention;
- Data leakage/loss prevention/protection;
- QKD and quantum-based secure communications;
- Quantum sensing;
- Sensors in broadband networks,
- IoT sensors and actuators;
- Optical fiber sensors.
The extended version of the conference papers in these special sessions will be recommended to the MDPI journal Sensors.
