Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In the process of transforming from production-oriented manufacturing to service-oriented manufacturing, cloud manufacturing (CMfg) offers an attractive solution. It provides the shared pool of configurable computing resources and the sustainable manufacturing services for the entire lifecycle of manufacturing, under the support of cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), virtualization and service-oriented technologies, and advanced computing technologies. With the development of new generation of intelligent technology (brain science, cognitive science, artificial intelligence, etc.), CMfg has entered its 3.0 era and made great achievements. However, existing research has seldom taken the influence of CMfg on sustainable development into discussion, although sustainability is indispensable in the CMfg environment. Thus, this Special Issue aims to collect and present research related to the topic, titled “Sustainable Industry and Production: Cloud Manufacturing Service Sustainability.”
The scope of this Special Issue covers but is not limited to the following topics:
- Technology Development of CMfg
Cloud manufacturing service composition and optimal selection
Cloud manufacturing resource management and optimization
Cloud computing and computing architecture
Cloud manufacturing platform management
Cloud manufacturing system construction
Cloud manufacturing alliance
- Practical Application of CMfg
Quality of cloud manufacturing service evaluation
Sustainable development of cloud manufacturing service
Digitization and servitization transformation with the development of cloud manufacturing
Strategy management in the cloud manufacturing environment (including supply management, operation management, organization management, production planning, business model innovation, etc.)
