Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Symmetry 2021 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Tanmoy Paul.

Dr. Tanmoy Paul, a Research Associate of the University of Burdwan, India, and an external researcher of the International Laboratory for Theoretical Cosmology, Russia, works in the fields of cosmology and classical as well as quantum aspects of gravity. He did his MSc in physics at Jadavpur University (2011–2013) and his PhD in theoretical physics at IACS (2013–2019). As of now, he has been awarded four national fellowships with noticeable ranks all over India (rank seven, rank six, etc.) and two international fellowships.

He is clearly a rising star in the field of symmetry phenomena. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Tanmoy Paul for his outstanding achievements.

As the awardee, Dr. Tanmoy Paul will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000, an offer to publish a paper free of charge before the end of 2022 in Symmetry after peer review, and an engraved plaque.

We would like to thank all the nominators from various fields of study for their participation and all the Award Committee members for their evaluation of the many excellent nominations.
