Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Botulism still represents a big concern for both human and veterinary public health authorities. In the last three decades, the epidemiological picture of the disease has profoundly changed. Increased consumer demand for low processed foods, innovative food processing technologies, advances in farming practices, and climate change pose new challenges in the development of control and prevention strategies. Although significant improvements in knowledge have arisen from illuminating research activities, several aspects remain unclear. This Special Issue will focus on the insights gained and advancements made in improving the diagnosis, treatment, control, and prevention of human and animal botulism, filling in the gaps in knowledge.
