Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The availability of an efficacious prophylactic vaccine is a crucial means to preventing a number of infectious diseases. However, there is still an incomplete understanding of the possible interplay, either protective or detrimental, between immune response pathways elicited by vaccines and the physiopathology of non-communicable diseases in receiving subjects. This may be of crucial interest now that a vaccination plan to prevent infection with SARS-CoV-2 is about to be extended to the population worldwide.

This Special Issue aims to achieve a more extensive understanding of current scientific knowledge on the possible protective/detrimental role of vaccines against infectious diseases on the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases.
