Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Dear authors,

Your research idea is interesting but your experimental group of students is too small (36 persons) for generalizing the results. The title of your manuscript should inform that this is a case study.

I would like to recommend some technical corrections as follows:

1) Lines 50-51: Add a reference number for Kaplan (1995) and Ulrich et al. (1991) instead of the year of publication.

2) I have no found some statements about the confidentiality of personal data. Are the participant anonymous, etc.?

3) References section: Why you have put the journals' names in capital letters?

For [4] the collaborators are missing.

Ref [19] - Please, leave only the English text.

Comments on “Exploration of green-space restorative environment: Physiological and psychological exploration of student anxiety based on VR”

1. The authors need to state the purpose of this study much clearer than it is presented now. In the objective statements, they are better to identify the difference for this study from the existing studies and demonstrate the potential contribution of this study.

2. The authors have good design and presentation in the methods and materials. But here suggest that the authors write and explain clearly for (a) in Figure 4 about the meaning of 96, 256, ......,150.

3. The authors conduct regression analysis and state on line 266-269 about “...... regression analysis to conduct a four-dimensional analysis of the scene green vision rate perceptual restorative evaluation and found that the regression relationship between green vision rate and distance, extensibility, and compatibility evaluation was not significant (p > 0.05), but was significant with charm regression (Table 6).” But on Table 6, only results of regression for green vision index and its square term on charm, green vision index and its square term on positive emotion, and green vision index and its square term on negative emotion are presented. The regression did not have variable of distance, extensibility, and compatibility evaluation. The authors should remain these variables in the regression results even they are not significant. The results presented now are not all significant at different significant levels. It is not clear if the coefficient for green vision rate and its square term presented now are the results simultaneously in the regression analysis. Moreover, the authors should write clearly for how many observations used in the regression analysis. In fact, the overall regression results are not statistics significant. The statistics R2 and F indicates such outcome. The plot figure (a), (b), and (c) in Figure 5 are clearly consistent with the R2 and F regression statistics. The authors can try to take natural log or log for dependent variable, charm, positive emotion, or negative emotion, to make the magnitudes of dependent and independent variables are much closer.

4. The limitation of this study is due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the experiment subjects are limited to authors’ university. I don’t know exactly what this might be the limitation. What exactly the authors expect if the experiment subjects are from diverse universities?

REVIEW
Exploration of green-space restorative environment: Physiological and psychological exploration
of student anxiety based on VR
Summary
-Manuscript is very interesting, explain the research methodology more clearly
-A clearer research goal is missing?
-Shorten certain keywords
Introduction
-The introduction is mostly correct but requires additional structural and methodological improvements
-Supplement the research issues with newer sources
-The aim of the research should be more precise
Results
-Use more complex statistics (tests)
Materials and methods
-Explain the size of the selected sample
Results
-Shorten the results and display them more simply
Discussion
- Need more references
Conclusion
-The conclusion should be more general and respond to the research objective. Answer how your
research can improve the profession and science
