This article deals with blockchain architecture. The presented discussion is important. However, there are many important issues that need to be addressed before consideration for possible publication.

  1. How this paper is linked with the scope of the sustainability?
  2. I did not find any quantitative findings in the abstract section.
  3. Please establish a clear research gap in the introduction section.
  4. What are the key objectives of this study?
  5. How the proposed idea can be used for different Energy systems? Why the authors choose a simple business model i.e., Amazon Web Services?
  6. The authors should present a systematic structure of the proposed methodology considering a wider scope.
  7. Please improve the quality of all Figures. The visualization and presentation of Figures is really poor.
  8. I have a big concern about the keyword "machine learning". How this study uses machine learning?
  9. Which machine learning model is used in this study?
  10. What are the limitations of the proposed study? Please also include in the manuscript.
  11. The conclusions section is too long. Please make more to the point.

Title, abstract and keywords

All relevant.

Introduction

The introduction is exciting. I count value in your study. Some elements to strengthen this section.

It would be interesting adding more shreds of evidence considering:

https://0-doi-org.brum.beds.ac.uk/10.1504/IJMP.2021.113824

https://0-doi-org.brum.beds.ac.uk/10.1080/00207543.2018.1533261

https://0-doi-org.brum.beds.ac.uk/10.1108/WHATT-10-2019-0069

https://0-doi-org.brum.beds.ac.uk/10.13135/2421-2172/4926

https://0-doi-org.brum.beds.ac.uk/10.1016/j.tre.2019.09.020

Finally, I would suggest adding more evidence to the GAP that this paper aims to address. For example, in this paragraph, "However, sustainability of the supply chain management adopting blockchain technology is questionable as it involves the challenges of dealing with tremendous processes and a large number of supply chain parties, and handling the big data generated from these supply chain processes and parties. Furthermore, new opportunities emerge from the big data generated from the supply chain field for big data analysis." you need to cite previous literature and highlight the GAP and the motivation to conduct this new research.

Literature review

This section should be added, including Section 2. Here you can also include more theoretical elements related to your main research topic as the role of blockchain within the sustainability of the supply chain.

Methodology

A new section named "Methodology" is needed here. It would help if you clarified to the reader tools and ways in conducting the research. Please, see, for example, the following past researches that employ a single case study methodology:

https://0-doi-org.brum.beds.ac.uk/10.3390/su13074058

https://0-doi-org.brum.beds.ac.uk/10.3390/su13041936 https://0-doi-org.brum.beds.ac.uk/10.1016/j.cities.2021.103278

https://0-doi-org.brum.beds.ac.uk/10.3390/su13105619

Results

Also, this section should be direct for future readers. Therefore, based on the in-depth analysis of your paper, it should start considering points 3 and 4. Especially, point four should be clarified and put in the line of a harmonic equilibrium of this "Result" section.

Conclusions

I would encourage a discussion and conclusion section here. Considering your results, you should discuss driving previous literature. What is the new point that your research adds, considering previous studies?

Additionally, after analysing your results in this section, you should clarify theoretical and practical implications. For example, giving some elements of limitations and future research avenues starting from your study.

All the best for your future research work!

Round 2

Reviewer 2 Report

The authors have improved their manuscript according to my comments on previous version of the manuscript. Now, the manuscript can be considered for possible publication in Sustainability.

Reviewer 3 Report

Dear Authors,

Thank you for your modifications. You better developed the article, which is now extremely interesting. I would recommend the publication to the Editor-in-Chief and editorial office.

Kinds regards
