Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This study is to explore a digital economy, factor allocation and agricultural sustainable  development. It is focused on the perspective of labor and capital misallocation. The topic is interesting and overall processes are proper. Following s are some comments to improve the quality of the study.

- Add study purpose and method in the abstract section.

- When a study is cited, use last name only in the main body. Lin Q.N and Mao S.P (2022) => Lin and Mao (2022).  Apply this form to the rest of the paper.

- Provide the study purpose in the introduction section.

- In 2. Theoretical Analysis and Research Hypotheses, some previous studies should be reviewed and cited properly to derive a hypotheses. Make some citations in 21. and 2.2.

- Add proper notations for eqs 1 to 4. Some notations do not have its  description.

- All statistical values should have three decimal places only.

Reviewer 2 Report

The used good data base along with appropriate econometric tools to assess the impact of digital economy on sustainable agricultural growth in China. The models  employed had additional intermediate variable like factor allocation( both labour and capital allocation).

Although it is a good attempt, paper is publishable in the current format, I suggest the authors to consider the following minor issues to make the paper more readable for wider readership.

1.       Abstract and conclusions section need to be rewritten without technical jargon.

2.       Some notations and formulae need to be rechecked, there is some confusion, for example for Digital Economy somewhere mentioned as D in some other places as DI. More careful and use uniform notations in entire paper.

3.       The paper referred only Chinees studies, for broader applicability, authors may use other country studies especially from India for wider readership, as the conclusions are widely applicable to all developing countries. For ready reference authors may go through the following papers from India. (i) Reddy, A. A., & Mehjabeen. (2019). Electronic National Agricultural Markets, Impacts, Problems and Way Forward. IIM Kozhikode Society & Management Review, 8(2), 143-155. (ii) Reddy, A. A. (2018). Electronic national agricultural markets. Current Science, 115(5), 826-837.
