The manuscript "Invasive agricultural pest Drosophila suzukii
Diptera, Drosophilidae) appeared in the Russian Caucasus" aimed at
"report the first records of D. suzukii in European Russia, namely
in Sochi". The manuscript reports for the first time the occurrence
of Drosophila suzukii in the region of the Russian Caucasus.
The manuscript is important for the local authorities to take
the necessary measures and shows the great worldwide distribution
of this pest. Some suggestions were made in the text that contribute
to qualify the work.

- Delete fruit fly and put drosophila.The common name is Spotted wing drosophila.
- Yes. Fruit fly is deleted and spotted wing drosophila is added.
- “49 flies” is replaced by “49 adults”
- “wings by males” – is replaced by “wings of males”
- “list A2” is replaced by “A2 list”
- Scientific names and families of the fruit crops are provided.
- “eyes red” is replaced by “red eyes”
- “it indicates, that” – the comma is deleted
The main text is extended to 2000 words according to the editor’s request.

This is a very straightforward and well-written manuscript. I like the figure in which authors highlighted the main diagnostic characters of D. suzukii. Methods section is very well written. Very minor things are embedded directly into the PDF attached (e.g., I do not like "etc." very much in the text, although it is maybe a matter of choice).
Congratulations to authors for a nice contribution.
