An Overview of Climate Change Impacts on Agriculture and Their Mitigation Strategies
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
This is a time-consuming study, with 116 articles cited in the article, which shows the magnitude of the author's workload. The impact of climate change on agriculture is fully addressed in the article, and the following are some of the questions I have asked:
1. Why Biostimulants and Biochar?
2. Are Biostimulants and Biochar only good for crop growth and the soil environment, and is the article too one-sided as it only shows the advantages?
3. The format of the article needs to be fine-tuned, e.g. CO2, Na+.
4. The article lists a large number of articles, but lacks sufficient summaries, it is a bit of a list and lacks its own insights.
5. The article should have its own conclusions.

Response:
Many thanks to the reviewer for appreciating our work and for constructive comments that immensely helped us to improve our manuscript. According to the reviewer’s comments, we changed the content of the manuscript (see red marked text in the manuscript) and responded point by point below.
- Why Biostimulants and Biochar?
Response:
Biochar and biostimulants are two biological strategies with tremendous ability to improve soil health; crops yield as well as to mitigate the climate change effect on soil and crops.
For the above-mentioned unique advantages, we discussed these two biological green innovative strategies in this review.
The purpose of the review is further elaborated in manuscript chapter 1 and chapter 4
- Are Biostimulants and Biochar only good for crop growth and the soil environment, and is the article too one-sided as it only shows the advantages?
Response:
In addition to our previous discussion regarding benefits, limitations are added in the manuscript (see sections 4.1. and 4.2).
- The format of the article needs to be fine-tuned, e.g. CO2, Na+.
Response:
Format corrected.
- The article lists a large number of articles, but lacks sufficient summaries, it is a bit of a list and lacks its own insights.
Response:
Summaries are added in Chapter 4, section 4.1. and 4.2.
- The article should have its own conclusions.
Response:
Concluding remarks extended.

Title: «An Overview of Climate Change Impacts on Agriculture and their mitigation strategies»
The article is devoted to the actual topic of the study, but there are several shortcomings that should be eliminated before publication.
In figure 3, the individual parts of the drawing are not distinguishable, like the lower part of the drawing. Also, parts of this drawing should be marked with letters larger than now.
Chapter 4.2 should be expanded as the discussion of biostimulants has been very succinct.
