Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Dear Editor

Thank you for the opportunity to evaluate the paper titled  Signs of Alveolar Collapse in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, 2 Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis and Systemic Sclerosis revealed 3 by Inspiration and Expiration computed tomography; please find the comments below:

The paper discussed the signs of alveolar collapse in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, and systemic sclerosis. The authors present their findings through inspiration and expiration computed tomography.

I have concerns about using data from July 16, 2015, and Mai 14, 2018, which questions why the authors used old data and submitted their study in 2023. Respiratory diseases and CT technology have a huge revolution after the COVID-19 pandemic.

I also want the authors to explain the number of patients (60) and why they think it is enough to produce the results.

The findings may contribute to developing more objective assessments of lung density and survival in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, and systemic sclerosis. The article does not explicitly state how the study results will be used for practice.

The authors stated multiple study limitations especially the AI implementations, they have to correlate their study with the current advancement and technology as the paper will be published in 2023, not 2018.

The author should state the justification of two scans (expiration and inspiration)
