Movement Disorders: Diagnosis and Management

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue aims to offer a comprehensive overview of the diagnosis and management of movement disorders. Movement disorders encompass a wide range of conditions that affect the normal functioning of the body's motor system, leading to abnormal movements or impaired voluntary movements. As these disorders can vary significantly in terms of their etiology, manifestation, and impact on patients' lives, it is crucial to establish effective strategies for their accurate diagnosis and management.

The scope of this Special Issue encompasses various aspects of movement disorder diagnosis and management. It includes detailed discussions on the current state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques, such as advanced neuroimaging modalities, genetic testing, and clinical assessments. Additionally, we will publish articles on the different classifications and subtypes of movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease, dystonia, essential tremor, ataxia, and Huntington's disease, among others.

By bringing together the latest research, clinical insights, and expert opinions, this Issue aims to provide a valuable resource for clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis and management of movement disorders. The collective knowledge presented here will contribute towards improved patient care and pave the way for future advancements in this field.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Diagnostics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
