Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue considers research or review manuscripts with a global impact on some of the dimensions of forest wildlife conservation (biological, social, ethical, or economic ones, among others). Knowledge of the biodiversity of wildlife is important to understand the dynamics of forest ecosystems; new approaches and precise tools are used for this scientific task. There are still some explored places on the planet, and their study and analysis will help to understand the biodiversity of wildlife. We will disseminate global impact studies with multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches to the monitoring, analysis, and conservation of forest wildlife biodiversity. Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary manuscripts focused on forest wildlife biodiversity and its conservation that provide practical tools can be received. This Special Issue will include manuscripts that analyze the effect of anthropic activities on the temporal and/or spatial patterns of forest ecosystems’ richness, diversity, structure, and functions. Additionally, these manuscripts may propose monitoring, analysis, actions and strategies to prevent, conserve, and/or restore any of the wildlife biodiversity. They may include the effect of habitat loss or fragmentation, human infrastructure, invasive species, climate change, or the role of protected areas.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Forests is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs).
