Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to contribute to this Special Issue titled “Physical Therapy in Mental Health”. The interlink of physical therapy and mental health represents a growing field with significant implications for effective patient care. Scientific evidence underscores the pivotal role of physical therapy interventions in addressing mental health conditions, showcasing the interrelation of physical and mental well-being. As the scientific community continues to recognize the reciprocal relationship between physical and mental health, there is a compelling need to explore, consolidate, and transfer to clinical practice the latest research in this dynamic field.

This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive platform for researchers, clinicians, and educators to disseminate their findings and insights on the integration of physical therapy in mental health care. Aligned with the scope of Healthcare, we encourage submissions that elucidate the impact of physical therapy interventions on various mental health conditions, contributing to the advancement of evidence-based practices. The scope of this Special Issue encompasses a broad range of topics, including (but not limited to) therapeutic modalities, intervention outcomes, patient experiences, educational programs, and interdisciplinary collaborations in the field of physical therapy and mental health.

In this Special Issue, we welcome original research articles and reviews that cover the multifaceted relationship between physical therapy and mental health. Research areas may involve the exploration of therapeutic approaches, the evaluation of intervention effectiveness, education programs, and the examination of patient-centered outcomes. We invite contributions that shed light on the link between physical and mental well-being, fostering a deeper understanding of the complex interplay between these domains.

We look forward to receiving your valuable contributions to enrich the discourse and dialogue on “Physical Therapy in Mental Health”.
