Microbiology Research is recruiting Editorial Board Members. We will be assembling two main Sections: a 'Clinical Microbiology' Section and a 'Basic Microbiology' Section. Therefore, we are now recruiting Editorial Board Members (EBMs) for these Sections. If you are interested in this position or know of potential candidates to recommend, please contact us by 30 June 2021.

Microbiology Research (ISSN 2036-7481) is an open access journal that is published quarterly online by MDPI and is indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index. In addition, it is applying to be indexed by PubMed and Scopus this year. The website of Microbiology Research can be accessed here.

As an Editorial Board Member, you have the following responsibilities:

• To advertise the journal at meetings, to your colleagues, in your organization, on your website, in social networks, or in your biography;
• To submit articles yourself—original research results, surveys, or reviews;
• To consider opportunities and topics for Special Issues. For example, a conference in which you are involved or organized might offer a theme for a Special Issue, and some major advances in the field could form the basis for a Special Issue;
• To identify specific areas that call for a special review or commentary and suggest people who could be invited to write such a piece;
• To offer any other ideas or suggestions to help get things moving.
