Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Religion, due to secularization, no longer plays a key role in maintaining the unity of society. Nevertheless, the issue of faith remains relevant, since society needs to sacralize its needs. Against the background of the processes of “extinction of religion”, such scientists as Jose Casanova and Peter Berger put forward the theory of desecularization. The result of the complex relationship of these two oppositely directed processes is religious pluralism. According to sociologists in modern society, the question is not whether to believe or not, but what religion the individual will choose for themselves. Religious values are losing their superiority over the values proclaimed by society. They become side by side and material for political manipulation.

The capabilities of modern intelligent information technologies allow the development and implementation of transhumanistic ideas in the minds of people.

We invite a wide range of scientists (philosophers, sociologists, theologians, and others) to discuss the identified problems. Special attention is paid to issues of considering the mechanisms of preserving traditional religions not only in the form of observance of rituals and knowledge of prayers, but in the return of faith in God (communion with God). It would be interesting to understand how the religious values of traditional confessions are preserved or modified in social institutions, for example, family, education of young people, and others.
