- If an athletic event is held immediately after warm-up under cold conditions (10 °C), athletes should use moderate-intensity warm-up (60% VO2max) because it produces the same jump performance with less effort than high-intensity warm-up.
- High-intensity warm-up (80% VO2max) is recommended when athletes have a brief time interval between warm-up and the start of an athletic event under cold conditions.
