Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Reviewing of the paper “Biocontrol of phytopathogens under aquaponics 2 systems”

I can confirm that the subject matter of this study is of interest and relevance for publication in Water. This paper presents interesting material carried out on biological control agents of phytopathogens under aquaponics 2 systems. Aquaponics is an opportunity for cultivating plants and fish. The paper is well structured and includes original data that maybe of interest for the readers of Water.

The manuscript is well written, and I have only two observations:

Comments to the Author:

  • The authors did not present any aim or hypothesis at the beginning
  • comments were marked in the text of manuscript (number of tables)
  • Provide more details of introduction and review of the work

Reviewer 2 Report

In the present manuscript, a literature review regarding the the principal plant pathogens in aquaponics systems and the conventional and alternative treatments with biological control agents are presented.

Overall, theis review manuscript is well prepared and concise and includes all the related info.

Some specific comments.

Line 98: correct to "demand"

Line 138: correct to "phytopathogens".

Line 177: correct to "cross".

Line 183: correct to "Tables 1 and 2".

Table 1: correct to "Allium schoenoprasum".

Table numbering must be succesive. Therefore, Table in Line 323 should be numbered as Table 3.
