Development of Durability Test Device for Magnetorheological Fluids with Two Types of Rotors and Their Long-Term Torque Characteristics
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Authors did an excellent work on durability test device of the MRFs. The durability test equipment with two sets of rotors and stators was setup, and the MRFs with micron-sized Fe particles was also evaluated. However, some revisions are needed before it is accepted for publication in the journal. The followings are the comments or issues existing in this version.
- For testing the durability of the material, the material type should be a single variable. Why choose two types of rotors for the test?
- It is mentioned that the system is not affected by mechanical sealing and bearing, but looking at Fig. 1 and 4, these factors all seem to affect the test results.
- Eqs. 1 and 2 in section 3.1 are suggested to be written in piecewise function form.
- For "LDE" evaluation index, it is suggested that the authors give a detailed explanation. In addition, Fig. 14 is very important for the conclusion of the paper, and a detailed explanation is also required.
- In the introduction, it is suggested to give a more detailed description of the research status in this field. And cite more recent work, and try to cite the literature within 5 years.
