Authors used the finite element limit analysis (FELA). The differences between conventional FEA and the FELA are ought to be described in detail.

This is an interesting study. It deals with a specific problem of an ring spread foundation on sandy subsoil overlying a layer of clay.

To evaluate the study, a number of numerical calculations were performed for different geometry of the problem and for different subsoil properties.

The results of this parametric study are clearly presented in the form of graphs and are well discussed.

The article is written in good English without significant grammatical mistakes. However, I recommend that the authors go through the text carefully to correct minor typos. (E.g. in the title of chapter 4.2)

Presentations in the form of graphs are enough to understand the results of the study. In my opinion, it is not necessary to mention Tables 5 to 9, which occupy 6 pages of text.
