- Authors should further explain the reasons why your method can obtain a better effect compared with other ones

- Authors must improve and normalize the symbol system used in this paper

- The main research contributions are not clear. The author needs to write the main research contributions in bullet points with technical proof

- A threat to validity section should be added before the conclusion section

- A few research limitations need to be listed in the conclusion section.

-  In the summary part, the author puts forward the problem of the existing method and gives the solution, but which field is the problem? At the beginning of the summary, there is a lack of background introduction to explain what problems exist in what context. Therefore, the author is suggested to supplement this issue to make the article more rigorous.

- The innovation points of this article are not clear, so it is suggested that the author summarize his own innovation points at the end of the introduction of section I to make the article more organized.

- Compared with the experimental results of other methods, the algorithms used for comparison are relatively lacking and there is no reference for these algorithms. It is recommended that the author supplement more relevant experimental data to improve the persuasiveness of the article

A rationale of the selection of the methods and tuning of all the parameters an explanation of the selected features (from the user standpoint) should be added.

Researchers investigated the problem of sliding mode control (SMC) for DC-DC boost converters using hysteresis modulation (HM). In general, the presentation of the paper is clear, although the derivation and explanation of some steps require more attention. The authors should, however, take into account the following comments to improve the manuscript.

1/ Introduction should emphasize the motivation for the paper.

2/ The abstract is not clear, it should be rewritten.

3/ There are many typos that should be fixed (EMI in page 1 is not defined, In page 4, ‘I is provided [8]’ should be provided from [8], in page 5 first line is written remove ‘the’, criteria in line 130 should be criterion)

4/ The format of the equations should be checked (see eq 7)

5/ In equation 2, the bounds of the integrals should be added. Moreover, the sliding surface should verify s(0)=0.

6/ In page 8, the parameter \lambda, \beta and \gamma should be established or fixed.?

7/ I believe that the comparisons between different methods should be included in some tables.

8/ I am not convinced with the utility of table 3.

9/ In order to highlight the superiority of the proposed method, I believe it is more appropriate to incorporate the IT1 fuzzy model.

10/ Future works should be mentioned in the conclusion.

Reviewer 2 Report

I think that all of my review' criticisms have been answered and the paper is now ready for acceptance.

Reviewer 3 Report

There has been a thorough response to my concerns.
