“For Us, For the Future”—MDPI International Day Campaign Series

The UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the blueprint for achieving a better and more sustainable future for all. In 2020, the SDG Publishers Compact was launched, aiming to inspire publishers and accelerate progress to achieve the 17 goals by 2030. MDPI is an eager advocate of SDGs and has already been supporting the program by creating Special Issues and publishing a series of books on SDGs prior to joining the Publishers Compact in 2021, hence, MDPI’s Sustainability Foundation initiated the World Sustainability Awards in 2016. We are a part of this commitment and completely support the UN's initiatives to encourage sustainable actions that make the world a better place for everyone.

We celebrate International Day of Forest, World Water Day, and World Meteorological Day, respectively, from 21 to 23 March 2023. We are delighted to join you in celebrating these three environment-related international days, which remind us that the proper treatment of natural resources is essential for ensuring human survival. During this period, we held the “Future Through the Lens | MDPI Nature Photography Campaign”, hoping to work with scholars to pay attention to environmental health and let the beauty of nature be more appreciated. We look forward to your active participation to help to protect the natural ecological environment.

At the same time, we have gathered relevant open access academic research, enabling practitioners, policymakers and people around the world to access and share the latest scientific knowledge. Let's start the celebration of international nature days!
